Tim Wiggins Inspections co-owner and licensed inspector
Since 1997, Tim Wiggins has helped people understand the condition of their homes and prospective homes through residential, pre-listing, builder warranty and new construction home inspections. Additionally, he also conducts commercial inspections, radon testing, water testing, drone inspection services, thermal imaging, and termite and septic inspections.

Originally from Youngsville, North Carolina, Tim graduated from East Carolina University’s (ECU) School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in business management. He spent his early work life as a tobacco farmer before transitioning into developing subdivisions. Eventually, his experience led him to conducting home inspections where today he works as a state licensed inspector with a realtor’s license and NC General Contractor’s license.
Tim has performed more than 5,000 home inspections and what he likes most about his job as a home inspector is meeting clients and realtors, experiencing the uniqueness of each property and helping others identify the home of their dreams.
He carefully inspects a home’s foundation, roof, floors, walls, ceilings, exteriors (decks, driveways, etc.), windows, cabinets, plumbing components, hot water system, electrical components, kitchen appliances, smoke detectors, heating system and heat distribution, chimneys and central air conditioning, among other places and things.
He encourages clients to walk their inspections with him and as a licensed realtor, he can go inside properties, bringing clients along without having the client’s realtor present – which is a time-saving benefit that many home inspectors cannot offer.
All inspections conducted by Tim are performed in accordance with the Standards of Practice authorized by Chapter 143, Article 9F of the NC General Statutes. Tim is up-to-date on the latest inspection techniques and attends continuing education classes annually.
Tim served as a Youngsville volunteer firefighter for 16 years, coached a youth basketball team for 10 years and was a member of the Youngsville Optimist Club for 15 years, where he developed and implemented a truck raffle to raise funds for local youth programs. Currently, he is the secretary of the St. Regis Home Owners Association Board of Directors.
He lives in Youngsville with his wife of 20 years, Barbara, who is also TWI’s co-owner and communications manager. Together, they like to go to the beach and take trips to their property on North Topsail Island. In 2017, they got their sea legs by sailing with friends in the Bahamas on a 40-foot sailboat. Tim also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, watching ECU football games and traveling.
